He Will Not Take His Meds!

My wife and I are seriously frustrated at the fact that our 3 year old (Micah) is in extreme pain (he had his tonsils removed) and he fights us when it’s time to take medicine. He screams bloody murder! He’s kicking and thrashing around like a gator who has just attacks it’s prey.

We have tried everything. We’ve put it in popsicles, we’ve tried to mix it in his drink, we’ve tried bribes, and we’ve also tried giving him chewable Ibuprofen. We can get him to take every once in awhile.

We are at our whits end. He keeps us up through the night screaming. I’ve even tried forcing him to take it. That outcome just leaves me feeling like a heartless father.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Lovely Bones

O.K.  I’m not much of a movie person.  The only time I watch movies is when I’m spending time with my wife or kids.  The movie The Lovely Bones is a key example why I don’t like to watch movies.  The directors of Hollywood know how to grab hold  of your emotions.  As a Dad, watching this movie is horrific!  I’m ready to kill every pedophile in the  world.  My wife is telling me, “It’s just a movie.” and I’m ready to play ‘God’ and let my wrath destroy this creep!

It got me to thinking.  There is a place in God’s Word where Jesus tells us to Love our enemies.  (Matthew 5:43-44)

This is hard!  This type of forgiveness would have to be supernatural.  God would have to intervene.

I want to know your thoughts.  How do you love the very people who harm you?

Summer Vaction 2008

I misplaced my digital camara when my family and I went to Myrtle Beach. I had to buy a disposable camara so I could at least take some half way decent pictures. I got the pictures developed today. Here are a few pictures from our trip. (This was Micah’s first visit to the beach)

Micah got his first hair cut today. Nikki took him to get it cut. I’m glad they didn’t cut much off.
